Massive Ice Stones and Widespread Damage

Homeowners reported giant hailstones reaching sizes of 7cm in certain regions. The Bureau of Meteorology verified that various areas across the state had been impacted by significant hail.

Rescue organizations received 598 calls for help across the area, mainly for property damage but also for collapsed vegetation and flooding.

At one point on yesterday, in excess of twenty-eight thousand power users in Victoria were experiencing outages.

Damp conditions were expected to linger along much of the state's eastern regions this week as a low-pressure trough continued to attract humidity against the shoreline.

Tuesday was forecast to be the most rainy day, with persistent storm activity anticipated across multiple regions of both regions.

Health Warning

Medical authorities alerted that there was an increased chance of epidemic thunderstorm asthma across the state's northern country region, specifically given the existing atmospheric conditions.
